Thank heaven for little girls (BONUS SLIDESHOW)
Galloway Township’s Carriage House has the touches to add to the natural elegance of fathers escorting their young daughters to a dance. More than 100 girls from the Greater Galloway Girl Scout Community attended the fifth annual Daddy-Daughter Dance Thursday April 17.
The girls really get into it, according to Lisa Traynor, community coordinator for the Girl Scouts.
“They get dressed up in gowns,” she said. “Their dads buy them corsages. They get their hair done. They really go all out.”
Their fun was shared by fathers, grandfathers and uncles, according to Traynor.
The group is made up of girls from Galloway Township, Absecon, Port Republic, Pleasantville and Brigantine, consisting of about 50 troops and ranging in age from 5 to high school.
